How to Connect Apple CarPlay in Your INFINITI
Apple CarPlay allows you to connect your smartphone to your INFINITI’s in-vehicle screen. It gives you a safe way to access apps, phone calls, and messages while on the road.
Wireless
- Ensure that your INFINITI supports Apple CarPlay.
- Your steering wheel will have a voice command button. Press and hold the button and make sure the stereo is set to wireless mode or Bluetooth.
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone. Tap Wi-Fi and ensure it’s activated. Select the CarPlay network and ensure Auto-Join is enabled.
- Next, head to Settings > General. Select CarPlay and choose your vehicle to complete the pairing process.
Wired
- Confirm the vehicle supports Apple CarPlay.
- Use a compatible cable to connect your iPhone to the INFINITI’s USB port.
- The vehicle’s display will show a series of on-screen prompts. Follow the instructions to finish setting up Apple CarPlay.
How to Connect Android Auto in Your INFINITI
Much like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto mirrors your compatible smartphone on your INFINITI’s information display to access your phone’s features,
Wireless
- Confirm your vehicle supports access to wireless Android Auto.
- Connect your smartphone to the INFINITI’s Bluetooth system. When prompted, enable the use of Wi-Fi.
- The vehicle’s display will display a series of instructions and prompts. Follow these to complete the setup.
Note: when using wireless Android Auto, select wireless features might be unavailable. To use Android Auto alongside other wireless features in your vehicle, you’ll need to connect your smartphone to the USB port in the centre console.
Wired
- Connect your phone to your INFINITI with a USB cable.
- A series of instructions will appear on your phone and the in-vehicle screen. Follow the prompts on both devices. If your screen doesn’t switch over to Android Auto automatically, you will need to select the Android Auto icon.
- Read over and accept the terms and safety message to finish the setup.
